That I can take absolutely zippo of the credit for, except I may have found your new favorite graham cracker crust recipe! I say easy because a food processor is not needed. I literally banged those crackers down with a can of beans (after placing them in a tightly locked baggie, of course). One sleeve of graham crackers = 1.5 cups of crumbs. I also made one small unnecessary change and used 3 T. granulated sugar with 2 T. of brown sugar.
I used this crust for a key lime pie (recipe will be posted later) and it added a perfect sweetness to the tang. I also think the crumblies look a little bit like sand.
Graham Cracker Crust I by Carol @ All Recipes
1 1/2 c. graham crackers, finely ground
1/3 c. white sugar
6 T. butter, melted
1/2 t. cinnamon (optional)
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, melted butter or margarine, and cinnamon until well blended . Press mixture into an 8 or 9 inch pie plate.
- Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7 minutes. Cool. If recipe calls for unbaked pie shell, just chill for about 1 hour.
